Kapitea Lodge is located on the wild and spectacular West Coast of New Zealand, half-way between Greymouth and Hokitika. Set on 8 hectares overlooking the Tasman Sea and surrounded by gardens, the Lodge is an ideal base for exploring the wonders of the Coast. Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki are only an hour drive away to the north, and Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers are within two hours to the south. The eclectic town of Hokitika is just twenty minutes south of Kapitea.
The main lodge features a lounge, dining room, conservatory, outside patio, and hot tub.
Each evening canapés and house wine are served complimentary, followed by a 3 course meal at 7pm (Reservations in advance essential). Wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks are available.
Accommodation is in 5 unique guest bedrooms, most of them upstairs and with seaviews and balconies. The downstairs room has a garden patio and is completely wheelchair accessible. Continental breakfast, evening canapés and house wine, wifi, and use of the hot tub are always included with each room.
To maintain a relaxing atmosphere, Kapitea Lodge welcomes children aged 12 and above. Outside smoking only please.
